Palate

This has a wonderful balance of a medium-bodied, flavoursome palate tempered by fresh, crisp acidity. The lifted, tropical fruits are kept in check by fresh acids which add a lovely, zesty, mouthwatering character to the wine.

Background

The Drayton family first established vineyards in Pokolbin in the late 1850s and are one of the few surviving family owned operations left in the Hunter Valley, and indeed in Australia. The company has some of the oldest vines in the Valley and continues to expand its vineyard base.
