This wine is named in honour of the unique trees that dot Alkoomi's vineyards. They're as quintessentially West Australian as this wine style. Alkoomi love blending Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc as it creates a delicious mix of tart green apple and citrus fruit flavours that are cut by a touch of cut grass and gooseberry fruit. Crisp acids add structure to the long satisfying finish.

The Alkoomi vineyards and winery of Merv and Judy Lange are located in the Frankland River district of Western Australia's Great Southern wine region. Since climatic conditions are similar to those of Bordeaux in France, it is not suprising that this region produces some of the best wines made in Australia. The name Alkoomi is taken from the local Aboriginal dialect and means 'a place we choose'. The logo represents a distinctive Australian plant which grows in the area
