Sauvignon Blanc

Ideal for summer drinking, suitably matched with a wide array of foods.

Pale straw with a green hue.

The nose is fresh and lifted, full of apple, greengage-plums, blossom, and sweet lime aromas.

The palate is classic Sauvignon Blanc, layered with delicate herbal, citrus, and white stone fruit flavours. Again, the 2016 has good weight and body. There are defined lingering fruit notes with a bright sherbet acid finish.

Looking Glass is a true expression of the grape, and the region. Marlborough has been fortunate to enjoy great weather during vintage to produce good yields, and high quality Sauvignon Blanc. This is an opportunity to produce intense, defined, classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. The 2016 vintage produced quality grapes after a warm dry season with valuable rains early in the year, with timely falls as the harvest got underway. This year, Awatere fruit dominates the final blend, with 40% from the Wairau.
