The three main varieties (tre viti) in this wine contribute lifted tropical fruit salad, guava and melon fruit aromas.
The palate of this food-friendly white is delightfully fresh, zesty and flavoursome, with fresh green tropical fruit flavours, a touch of savouyness and well balanced by crisp cleansing acidity.
James Halliday, 2012 Wine Companion: "Stefano de Pieri decided to have his own range of wines that reflect his Italian spirit and the region he lives in. Mostly hand-picked, the fruit comes from a variety of Mildura vineyards, including the highly respected Chalmers Nursery vineyard. They are intended to be fresh and zesty, deliberately aiming at lower alcohol, to retain as much natural acidity as possible, designed to go with food, and are inexpensive and easy to enjoy, reflecting Stefano's philosophy of generosity and warmth. The emphasis is on the Italian varieties from arneis to aglianico, including frizzante pinot grigio and the innovative blend of moscato, giallo, garganega and greco, while retaining some of the local workhorses like cabernet and chardonnay."
