Light red meat dishes or vegetables match very well with this wine.

Maturation is partially in one and two year old oak barrels and partially in stainless steel tanks

Dark red with purple hues.

The nose is bright and expressive with an inviting mix of red berries, blackcurrants and sweet smoky spice (clove and cinnamon).

The palate is impressively depth and textured with a burst of dark berried fruit flavours wrapped in savoury spice and fine tannins. Nice length and a classy finish completes this modern but decidedly French Shiraz.

Totally de-stemmed before a long, cool maceration (three weeks) with regular pump-overs to maximise retention of fruit colour and aroma. Maturation is partially in one and two year old oak barrels and partially in stainless steel tanks. After a charmed run avoiding adverse weather, the Languedoc received its fair share in 2014, in particular hail storms that cut a swathe through many regions. The damage significantly reduced crop levels but the fruit that survived is of very high quality.
