Winemaker, Alex Head, a Young Gun of Wine finalist three times running has crafted his Barossa Shiraz from a vineyard in Stonewell. The sandy loam mixed with quartz on a limestone base gives the perfectly ripened fruit in this Shiraz added complexity, which earned the wine a rating of 96 Halliday points.

Maturation in oak is for a year in specially selected 300L French hogsheads of which 33% are new.

The palate shows ripened sweet fruit alongside fine, ripe tannins and integrated oak.

This single vineyard lies in the Stone Well parish and has a myriad of soil types including red-clays and grey sands (Blonde in colour) running the length of the vineyard.
