This Shiraz displays lifted aromas of plums and black cherries with hints of violets and white pepper.
The medium-bodied palate with flavours of blackberry and blueberry is complemented by soft, supple tannins plus a hint of chocolate and spice. The subtle oak influence and bright fruit flavours linger on the long luscious finish.
The individual vineyard parcels were picked at night to retain freshness and were fermented separately at 26ºC to gently extract colour, flavours and tannins. The grapes were then pressed off their skins six days later and allowed to go through the secondary, or malolactic, fermentation. The wine was then matured with a combination of American and French oak and has had minimal handling prior to filtration and bottling. From a selection of vineyards in the Riverland and Murray Darling regions where the vines enjoy an ideal climate allowing their grapes to fully ripen and develop intense flavours. These vineyards are nestled in a majestic landscape of rich red soils under clear blue skies with an abundance of golden sunshine.
