Palate

Tightly wound tannins wrapping a soft fruit driven palate delivering a plush and supple mouth-feel. The wine is rich and long with flavour and is perfect for many cuisines and any occasion.

Background

2018 began well with solid winter rains replenishing the soil from the year prior. The vines had very good vigour throughout spring but with the drying of summer it was kept in check. A couple of light rain events in the new year and cool weather kept ripening at moderate pace before beautiful warm days and sunshine toward the end of summer finished ripening off perfectly. This should be considered a very good year for most growers.
