Pasquale's Selection wines are only made during the best vintages and this super premium red blend is made solely from grapes sourced from the Vasarelli's low-yielding Seaview Block, planted by Pat Vasarelli. He carefully hand selects the finest parcels of the block and the result is this complex McLaren Vale red with great depth, full of spicy fruits and chocolate flavours.

Big hearty food for this full bodied red. Perfect for winter meals like Coq au Vin and Osso Bucco.

Oak

18 months in New & Old French and American oak barrels.

Colour

Deep red in colour with slight purple hues.

Nose

Intense aromas of blackcurrant, complex black fruits with hints of Satsuma plum. Liquorice and black olive aromas from the Shiraz with a touch of earthiness from the Cabernet have been nicely combined with cedary toasty oak.

Palate

Great depth of complex spicy fruits and ripe plums. Hints of black cherry and chocolate follow through the palate. Refined savoury fruit flavours, very fine, long and well balanced tannins add complexity and integrity to this multidimensional wine. The finish is flavoursome and lingering.

Background

Pasquale's selection is made from the very best parcels of fruit off the oldest vines, the blends change slightly each vintage but it is always chosen from the best barrels of wine.
