Goe Di Fabio's family bought their first McLaren Vale vineyards in the 1960s and two of the properties they own are situated at Blewitt Springs, part of the famous McLaren Vale wine region. Goe has in the past sold his fruit to some of Australia's greatest wineries. He now keeps this premium fruit for exclusive use in his own named wines.

Bright fresh berry fruit intermingled with subtle sweet spice and savoury notes.

Palate

Rich and flavoursome, blackberry and cherry fruit are further complexed by chocolate and spice. Firm but fine tannins and subtle toasty oak lead to a lingering finish.

Background

One of winemaker Goe Di Fabio's warmest childhood memories is of donning rubber boots to help his father stomp the grapes for their homemade red wine. Winemaking is obviously in his blood.Goe was Geoff Merrill's chief winemaker till the year 2000 though he has remained as the company's consultant winemaker, mainly during vintage. He also consults overseas as well and brings years of experience to this, his first own named label.
