Cradled between two bays and Bass strait, Mornington Peninsula's maritime climate provides a long, cool ripening period crucial for flavour and structure development. The Reserve Pinot Noir is from the oldest vineyards (over twenty years) matured in French oak. Rich in colour with firm tannins, this is one of the finest examples from the region.

Pinot Noir

Seared tuna with a tomato- mustard vinaigrette and green salad.

French oak.

Deep cherry red.

Vibrant and lifted, with rose petals, spice and ripe seductive red-black fruits.

The strength of the 2015 vintage is on full display, with a symphony of deeply flavoured, juicy red and dark fruits; from cherry, to blueberry, to black plum. There is an abundance of energy on the palate, with some nice creamy texture and tannins built around a dense fruit core. It will be exciting to see the complexity build with time in bottle.

The 2015 vintage on the Mornington Peninsula will be remembered for its very high quality, in particular for Pinot Noir. Conditions became very dry towards the end of the season, but they were also very mild, with maximum temperatures during the majority of ripening rarely surpassing 25 oC. The result was highly synchronised sugar flavour ripening, with each of our different vineyard sites scattered across the Peninsula ripening on cue, allowing an orderly harvest for our pickers.
