This rich, flavoursome Hunter Valley Shiraz is crafted from vines dating back to 1968 and has a balanced and appealing palate with maraschino cherry notes.

Lifted red cherry aromas and earthy notes. The charry oak is part of the nose but in the background.

Palate

Quite a rich, flavoursome palate of fine tannins and maraschino cherry notes, not unexpected as this wine is mostly from the 1968 old vines. Balanced and appealing for early to medium drinking.

Background

The Shiraz grapes are sourced solely from the Graveyard Vineyard, being clonal vines planted through the 90s and massale selection from the 1968 plantings, with the oldest at 10 years of age.
