Nose

Lifted aromas of cherries, ripe plums, cassis and a very light touch of leafiness - very typical of the region. Extended oak maturation has added a cedary edge to the bouquet which is very enticing.

Palate

This is a wine with tremendous cellaring potential. The palate is young right now - tightly structured with potential to open up into an outstanding aged wine. Rich varietal fruit characters of ripe blackcurrant, cherry and some plums. Well-integrated oak provides depth and complexity, offering tightly grained tannins and cedarwood nuances. The flavour is long and lingering with a delightful fruit and oak tannin backbone.
