Colour

Deep purple red, bright and attractive.

Nose

Concentrated spice and fruit aromas of plums, hints of perfume and cherry combined with a touch of toasty French oak, resulting in a concentrated and complex fruit bouquet.

Palate

Concentrated mulberry and herbal fruit layered with spices and fine chocolate characters. Solid yet well balanced tannins with a fine acidity giving roundness and balance.

Background

South Australia's Limestone Coast is beginning to encroach on Coonawarra's uniqueness. There is no doubt that Coonawarra is this areas most renowned but coming from behind Padthaway, Wrattonbully, Robe and Mt Benson are all proving to be worthy contenders to the heavyweight title.
