Caillard Barossa Mataro (6-pack) 2015 x6

It was inevitable that after 37 years under various guises within the wine industry that Andrew, and his wife Bobby, would start their own wine label. Caillard wines specialises in Barossa Valley Mataro and Shiraz. Mataro is a complex red that sings when paired with food. Andrew Caillard, winemaker and Master of Wine describes the drop as "Fragrant and lithe in structure with attractive bright crimson colours, cranberry, redcurrant herb garden, star anise aromas, supple textures, underlying oak complexity, mid-palate inkiness and persistent mineral freshness." Andrew also designs the labels which are inspired by the Australian landscapr and feature native birds whose tail feathers reflect the silky length and persistent flavours of the Mataro.
