This blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro (known as GSM) is loaded with generous, ripe fruit flavours. Every step of the winemaking process is handled with expert care by winemaker Goe Di Fabio. The wine is named after Goe's mother, and is a tribute to all she taught him about wine, life and family.

Bright Fresh red and dark berry fruit intermingled with subtle sweet spice.

Rich and flavoursome, blackberry and cherry fruit are further complexed by hints of pepper and spice. Firm but fine tannins and subtle toasty oak lead to a lingering finish.

One of winemaker Goe Di Fabio's warmest childhood memories is of donning rubber boots to help his father stomp the grapes for their homemade red wine. Winemaking is obviously in his blood. Goe was Geoff Merrill's chief winemaker till the year 2000 though he has remained as the company's consultant winemaker, mainly during vintage. He also consults overseas as well and brings years of experience to this, his first own named label. This wine is a tribute to his Mum, Maria Michela, who is endearingly known to all as 'Marietta'. When she was named there were already many 'Marias' so she became known as Marietta. This wine was named after her to thank her for all he learnt by her side over the years - about wine, life and family.
