Cabernet Sauvignon 46%, Merlot 41 %, Petit Verdot 7 %, Cabernet Franc 6%

Try with a rack of lamb stuffed with pine nuts and parsley.

Matured in French oak.

Rich bright ruby red.

Big ripe blackcurrent and red flesh plums, with mulberry depths and sweet flower highlights, and a whiff of cocoa, toffee, and vanilla.

Full and soft approach with a lovely medium weight, well balanced, with a supple and understated cab power-structure that settles seamlessly into the finish of very long clean black fruit.

Over the years, Maverick has carefully limited the production of single vineyard wines. The result is that the same fruit is used for our Twins wines, which are also oak aged, but constitute a blend from across our different vineyards, thus optimising the varietal expression. 2010 was a cracker year for cabernet in the Barossa Valley. A slightly cooler ripening period allowed the cabernet tannins to ripen fully in conjunction with the flavour and alcohol dimensions.
