Palate
A fruit-driven red wine with a sweet entry of blackberry, ripe black plum, and cassis. This soft, medium-bodied wine has nuances of dried herbs and toasted oak complementing the bright fruit characters. The palate is well structured with velvet tannins and balanced acidity, finishing with dark berry fruits.
Background
This is a classic Cabernet Sauvignon from Hardys Main Road 202 range - flavoursome wines that continue to deliver on consistency and quality. An excellent year for red wines, resulting from a warm, dry summer season which provided ideal conditions for the growing and ripening of the grapes. Picking at optimum maturity has resulted in wines which display vibrant bright colours with ripe flavour profiles, rounded flavoursome palates and soft fine tannins. The wine is soft, easy-drinking and perfectly balanced with ripe fruit, integrated oak and ideally suited to lamb and beef dishes.
