Dark red with a purple hue.

Nose

Lifted dark berry, earthiness, savoury spice, dried petals, hints of leather and subtle perfumed savoury oak.

Medium bodied with a firm mouth feel, dense dark berries, tobacco leaf, leather, earthy undertones with herbaceous hints, and savoury oak with very fine, dusty well integrated tannins, and a long dense palate with a firm lingering finish.

Background

This Block Five Cabernet is certainly approachable now; though will age well over the next 10 years and over. The tannins will soften and integrate more with time and develop a longer, more filling wine.
