Deep ruby red

Typical Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot cassis with lifted violets and red fruits and hints of spice and chocolate.

A delightful wine filled with vibrant berry fruit, cassis and herbaceous characters. Soft and mellow the tannins are still strong enough to give the wine plenty of structure and backbone. Great length of flavour with excellent integration between the oak and fruit flavours, with a soft silky finish.

Murray Tyrrell was one of the most influential winemakers in Australia. He was behind the Chardonnay revolution and the first to gain an international reputation for his Pinot Noir. Murray's Winemakers Selections remain Hunter Valley benchmarks after 30 years in the marketplace. This wine is named after the original Tyrrell's property, Ashman, founded in 1853.
