Z Wines 3146 Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
Joachim Zerk, an early German pioneer farmer, settled in the Barossa Valley in 1846. He purchased for 200 pounds what he considered a perfect site for a vineyard. 160 years later, the Zerk family still grow grapes in old vineyards of which Section 3146 is a part. This Cabernet has an abundance of ripe blackcurrant fruit on the palate that pairs seamlessly with layers of tobacco and mint finishing with a balanced tannin structure.

Avon Brae High Moculta Eden Valley Shiraz 2016
Eden Valley's cool elevated vineyards sit at about 450 metres above sea level, which makes it much cooler than near neighbour the Barossa Valley. This produces a different style of wine, and this one from Avon Brae ripples with delicate spice, blackberry and coffee hints.
