The highlight of our calendar is always the Red Wine of the Year. Each year, our Tasting Panel tastes hundreds of wines and selects The Finalists – the six top wines in the running to become The Winner for 2017.
For over 20 years the Red Wine of the Year has been characterised by premium regional fruit and the mastery of the craft of winemaking – and the 2017 Red Wine of the Year Finalists are no exception.

While the brief was simple the search was difficult. Choosing just six wines to make The Finalists case from a strong field of high quality wines was a challenge.Tastings are carried out blind and wines are scored based on sight, aroma, taste and price. The wines in The Finalists case look great in the glass, will entice you with their aromas and absolutely deliver on the palate — you simply won't get better value than the Reservation price.
