Red Wine of the Year 2016: Shiraz from 5-star Saltram

After a rigorous year of tasting and appraIsing hundreds of wines, our Tasting Panel finally selected one red wine over all others.

As soon as the panel tasted Saltram Winemaker’s Reserve Barossa Shiraz 2014 they knew it was a winner, unanimously voting it the 2016 Red Wine of the Year.

This red stood out from the crowd, making an impression with its outstanding depth of flavour, smoothness, intensity and unmistakable Barossa character. It’s crafted by senior winemaker Shavaughn Wells from select parcels of fruit in the heart of the Barossa.

Top quality Barossa Shiraz deserves a place in every wine collection. This Winemakers Reserve Release will reward careful cellaring through to 2020 at least.
