Background:

Founded by Doctor Henry John Lindeman in 1843, Lindemans has survived to become the most successful Wine Exhibitor in the country over the past two decades. From its base in the Hunter valley, Lindemans pioneered new South Wales winemaking, also expanding into Coonawarra, Padthaway, and Karadoc. Padthaway has only really emerged as a wine-growing region since the mid 1980s, with Lindemans leading the way, having won more than 500 show awards since then. They are wines that are particularly approachable as young wines - particularly the whites. The Lindemans property Arcoona is the largest vineyard in the country - covering some 540 hectares, with a perimeter stretching 15 kilometres.
