Background:

In 1853 Joseph Drayton journeyed to Pokolbin where he purchased 80 acres of land, cleared it and built the historical Bellevue homestead. Later that decade he planted his first vines in the rich loam of Bellevue and the rest is truly history. These days, Drayton's look outside their traditional Hunter Valley home-base to wine regions across the country to find grapes for their comprehensive range of wines.
