Background:

Riversdale Estate, a small, boutique winery situated in Tasmanias Coal River Valley, run by husband and wife winemaking team Ian and Wendy Roberts lies in the shadow of the famous Utas radio telescope. The Riversdale location is unique its the only vineyard in the Coal River Valley with water frontage (onto Pittwater) which acts as natural frost protection, and is in a rain shadow receiving less rain than surrounding areas. The clear skies and long daylight hours (Tasmania experiences the longest day length in Australia) make the location perfect for growing premium wine grapes. Tasmanias cool climate is perfect for producing deeply-flavoured, long-lived Riesling, and this one is no exception. Download as PDF
