Nose: Intense dark cherry aromas combine with some herbal hints and a touch of mint and toasted cedar-like oak scents.
Palate: An excellent example of Cabernet Franc with concentrated ripe dark berry fruits, complexed by underlying herbaceous hints in the mid-palate and vanillin oak flavours.


Cabernet Franc has generally been planted in Australia with the intention of blending with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot to emulate the red wines of Bordeaux. In certain regions, however, the Australian climate has produced fruit with enough flavour to make a terrific wine on its own. The Vasarelli Vineyard is one such spot, and this wine is a lovely example of the variety.
