Colour: Pale straw.
Nose: Mineral, citrus, nashi pear, and granny smith apple characters. This Riesling is aromatic yet delicate, with the classic Watervale characters of zest and sherbet.
Palate: Fresh flavours of citrus, green apples, sherbet and pear. Good weight, lingering fruit flavours and length. Clean, crisp and distinctive Riesling - A classic Clare style.

Background:

The grapes were picked on February 23rd 2010 after an ideal, moderately cool growing season. The fruit came from two blocks of 40 year old plus vines situated in the Clare subregion of Watervale. Wines were handpicked to maintain optimum fruit quality and flavours. The gentle pressing of fresh whole bunches yields juice of very low phenolics (skin and seed tannins) which is fermented cold to preserve the delicate fruit. Download as PDF
