Dessert and Fortified Wines

Australia’s been making excellent Fortified Wines since the 1850’s - they’re often referred to as ‘Liquid Sunshine’ because the grapes are often left on the vines for longer. And we agree, there’s nothing quite like relaxing with a nice port after an enjoyable dinner, and just letting the conversation wander.

In more recent times our palates are falling partial to intensely-flavoured sweet white wines made from grapes affected by the mould ‘Botrytis cinerea’ - often referred to as ‘Noble rot’ which imparts lusciousness and complexity quite unlike anything else.
