We’re generally not Semillon Sauvignon Blanc drinkers but Alkoomi Frankland River Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2009 was exceptional. It’s fruity, exquisite palate and inviting aroma made it hard to stop at just one glass. We have been won over.

Black Wattle Regional Selection Limestone Coast Chardonnay 2008 is excellent – I usually enjoy and mainly drink Sav Blanc but this was a lovely drop did not have the oakiness that I don't like in a chardonnay.

Patrick T Wrattonbully Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz Merlot 2007 is a nice blended wine in the traditions of the great French styles. It is finessed, smooth, elegant and fruity, and for a 2007 wine has reached a degree of balance and integration early. It is right up there with the best of the Coonawarra.
